- May 29th 2010 - Everest Clean up 2011 Program Meeting
ESA is coordinating a meeting between its board members, the Ministry of Tourism, NTB and other tourism and mountaineering associations to discuss the Everest 2011 clean-up program, Tourism and Environmental issues.
- 2010 Spring Garbage Assessment
This coming spring, we are sending a team to assess the amount of rubbish currently on the mountain from Base Camp up to 8,000 meters. We hope this will give us an accurate idea of what needs bringing down in the 2011 clean up campaign.
- 2011 Everest Clean Up Program
We hope that this will be our biggest and best program, to remove all the rubbish on Mount Everest and to make the area from above Base Camp as a permanent garbage free zone.
